Who We Are
Restoration Counseling Services is located in Athens, TN. Founded by Brenda Hartgrove-Thomas, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, ASAP, C-CATODSW), in June of 2000. Restoration Counseling has a well-qualified staff offering the community a balanced and very experienced range of educational and personal backgrounds. Our staff's primary goal is to assist you and your family recover from any life challenging issues facing you in a time of crisis.
We incorporate your core value and belief system into the treatment process and work diligently to maintain the highest regard for our client's cultural, spiritual, and emotional needs.
We have a Board Certified Psychiatrist as our Medical Director, Dr. Randall Brewer.
The community is important to us and our staff volunteers their time to serve on local boards and give back whenever possible through health fairs and free programs within our surrounding area.
Emotional and behavioral issues do not simply involve the mind alone. We believe that stress and emotional issues affect one's physical, psychological, and spiritual health. Therefore, we make a distinct and purposeful effort to treat the whole person. We work closely with other providers and healthcare workers to provide optimum results from your counseling experience.
"According to the American Psychiatric Association, church attendance is one of the most consistent predictors of abstinence from substance use." Therefore, we address spiritual growth as part of our treatment plan along with stress management, conflict resolution, and self actualization.
